Our Vision

Divxstation's objective is to become one of the leading DivX sites online. Our main focus is to supply news, subtitles, articles, software, and genuine discussion relevant to the DivX technology.

All this is made possible by the mast majority of users adding such info. Divxstation is a site for the users, by the users.

History
Version 0.1 2000 Dec 25

Divxstation spontaneous started out as being a single page containing an open list for DivX content. The early founders were Bitcho, Rollo and That::thing. The page quickly got a lot of attention and many new users joined our quest to keep the list updated.

Version 1.0 2001 Jan 20

In a couple of weeks we where already getting 700 to a 1000 unique visitors a day. Many people were requesting a forum for discussion and the daily increase in visitors lead to a creation of such. The site was now in version 1.0 containing a news channel and a forum. Some of our earliest members registering in version 1.0 are still with us today. Candyman now a SuperUser with userId number 19 and Smegolf with number 27 also a SuperUser. Many of our members have been here since the beginning especially those who are now SuperUsers. The party continued and the forums were full of life. Version 1.0 was build in a hurry and therefore missing some important navigational elements. It was in a purple layout on a white background *ehh*. An upgrade was needed and hopefully in better colors.

Version 2.0 2001 Dec 1

The bright colors of version 1 hurt the eyes of many of our visitors and they were glad to fully open their eyes in version 2.0. A new layout in calm dark colors was launched. It contained a new subtitle section which has become The Divxstation Subscene. The forum had been improved with some new features and all users had to re-register. The upgrade included among other things an IM and HM system which were to become very successful in improving communication.

Version 3.0 2002 Sep 09

Continuing the success of version 2.0 the forum has once again been upgraded with new features. Two new sections have been added and many bugs fixed making Divxstation version 3.0 a complete site for DivX resources.
Small upgrades and bug fixing will be maintained throughout the lifespan of version 3.0.
